PS Energy Group Continues to Fuel Singapore Grand Prix’s Success in 2023

PS Energy at F1 2023

In a remarkable demonstration of reliability and sustainability, PS Energy Group has once again stepped up to power the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix held from 15-17 September 2023. This marks the third time PS Energy Group has undertaken the crucial task of supplying fuel to drive the generators that illuminate the Marina Bay Street Circuit during the highly anticipated event. As the event evolves with the times, PS Energy Group is adapting and contributing to its sustainability initiatives.

The Singapore Grand Prix F1 Race, a spectacle of speed and precision, relies on generators to power not only the race circuit’s dazzling lighting system but also the iconic Padang stage where renowned entertainers host electrifying concerts, as well as its various hospitality suites, activity booths, and F&B stalls and equipment. PS Energy Group has been supporting the F1 night race for three years, establishing itself as a trusted partner in the event’s continued success.

In alignment with the F1 Singapore Grand Prix’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and embracing a more sustainable business model, a significant portion of the fuel supplied by PS Energy for the last two years have been biodiesel and renewable diesel. The biofuel component, sourced by PS Energy, is produced from used cooking oil, exemplifying the event’s eco-friendly endeavors.

Beyond the supply of innovative fuel, PS Energy is deeply committed to ensuring the seamless operation of the F1 night race. The company continues to innovate, and this year has implemented the latest technology in fuel monitoring with Kingspan’s Watchman Radar, an NB-IoT based device, which allowed PS Energy to monitor and refuel the race’s fuel requirements in real time from multiple locations dispersed within the circuit. The device itself is integrated with the provided Harlequin Fuel Stations–  smart, double bunded tanks– which feed fuel to F1’s generators.

As the world eagerly anticipates the next Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, PS Energy Group’s continued support and sustainable contributions play a pivotal role in illuminating both the race circuit and the path to a greener, more sustainable future for motorsport.
